Sample Itinerary for Your Turkey Tour Package

Day 01 — Welcome to Istanbul (H3)

  • Your Turkish adventure begins the moment you land. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport (IST), you will be greeted by our representative and transferred in a comfortable private vehicle to your hotel in the heart of Istanbul.
  • After check-in, the rest of the day is yours. Settle in, freshen up, and step out to explore your neighbourhood at your own pace. Istanbul’s streets are alive with the aroma of fresh simit (sesame bread rings), the sound of seagulls over the Bosphorus, and the glow of lantern-lit bazaars.
  • Tip: Head to Taksim Square or Sultanahmet for your first taste of Turkish street food try a döner kebap or balık ekmek (fish sandwich) by the Galata Bridge.

Day 02 — Two Continents Tour with Lunch (H3)

  • Today you experience something few cities in the world can offer standing on two continents in a single day. This full-day guided tour takes you across the Bosphorus Strait to explore the highlights of both European and Asian Istanbul.
  • Morning Highlights:
  • Çamlıca Hill:- Start your day at one of Istanbul’s highest points on the Asian side. At 268 metres above sea level, Çamlıca Hill offers sweeping 360-degree views of the Bosphorus Bridge, the Golden Horn, the Princes’ Islands, and the entire Istanbul skyline. On a clear day, the view stretches endlessly.
  • Çamlıca Mosque:- Visit the magnificent Çamlıca Mosque, the largest mosque in Turkey, completed in 2019. With its six minarets, grand dome, and intricate Iznik tilework, it can hold up to 63,000 worshippers and has quickly become one of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks.
  • Beylerbeyi Palace:- Cross to the waterfront of the Asian shore to explore Beylerbeyi Palace, the Ottoman sultans’ summer residence. Built in the 1860s, this elegant white marble palace features lavishly decorated rooms, Bohemian crystal chandeliers, and a stunning Bosphorus-facing terrace that once hosted foreign royalty.
  • Afternoon Highlights:
  • Eyüp Mosque:- Visit one of the holiest sites in Islam outside of Mecca and Medina. The Eyüp Sultan Mosque, built in 1458 just after the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople, sits beside the tomb of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. The mosque’s serene courtyard and hillside cemetery make it a deeply peaceful stop.
  • Pierre Loti Hill & Cable Car:- Ride the scenic cable car up Pierre Loti Hill, named after the French novelist who loved writing at this very
vantage point. At the top, enjoy panoramic views over the Golden Horn while sipping traditional Turkish çay (tea) at a hillside café.
  • Golden Horn Views:- Take in the sweeping curves of the Golden Horn, the historic natural harbour that has shaped Istanbul’s geography and history for over 2,500 years.
  • Bosphorus Cruise:-  The day’s grand finale. Board a sightseeing boat and cruise along the Bosphorus Strait, the narrow waterway that divides Europe and Asia. Glide past Ottoman-era waterfront mansions (yalıs), the Rumeli Hisarı fortress, the Dolmabahçe Palace, and both suspension bridges. This is the Istanbul you see on postcards — except you are living it.

Day 03 — Sapanca Nature Tour with Lunch (H3)

  • Leave the bustle of Istanbul behind and head east into the lush green countryside of the Sapanca region. Located about 150 km from Istanbul,
Sapanca is a favourite escape for locals seeking clean air, forested hills, and the calm beauty of a freshwater lake stretching 16 kilometres.
  • Sapanca Lake:- The centrepiece of the day. This pristine lake sits at the foot of Samanlı Mountains and is surrounded by walking paths, gardens, and lakeside cafés. Stroll along the shore, take photographs of the misty mountain backdrop, or simply sit and breathe.
  • Kartepe Mountain Region:- If time permits, explore the Kartepe area, known for its dense forests, cool mountain air, and in winter, its ski slopes. The drive itself is scenic, winding through pine and chestnut forests.
  • Local Village Experience:- Visit a traditional Turkish village in the Sapanca foothills. See how locals live, browse small artisan workshops, and enjoy the unhurried pace that defines rural Turkey.
  • Masukiye (if included in your itinerary):- A lush valley village famous for its trout restaurants set beside waterfalls and streams. It is one of the most photographed spots in the region.

Day 04 — Princes’ Islands Tour with Lunch (H3)

  • Today you sail away from the mainland to the Princes’ Islands (Adalar), a chain of nine small islands in the Sea of Marmara. Just a short ferry ride from Istanbul, these islands feel like a different world entirely, no cars, no traffic noise, just pine forests, Victorian-era cottages, horse- drawn carriages, and the gentle sound of the sea.
  • Büyükada (Big Island):- The largest and most popular of the islands. Upon arrival, explore the island the way locals do — by foot, by bicycle, or by horse-drawn carriage (fayton). The island is car-free, which means immediate tranquility.
  • Historic Greek Monasteries:- Visit the hilltop Aya Yorgi Church (St. George’s Monastery), dating back to the 6th century. The climb is worth
every step from the top, views of the Marmara Sea, the distant Istanbul skyline, and neighbouring islands are breathtaking.
  • Victorian Architecture:- Stroll through streets lined with beautifully preserved wooden Victorian and Ottoman-era summer mansions painted in soft pastels. These houses tell the story of a bygone era when the islands were the preferred summer retreat of Istanbul’s Greek, Armenian communities.
  • The ferry ride back to Istanbul offers stunning views as the sun begins to set over the city skyline a perfect ending to a peaceful day.

Day 05 — Departure (H3)

  • After breakfast and hotel check-out, your private transfer will take you to Istanbul Airport (IST) for your international departure flight.

Frequently asked questions

For a focused Istanbul and surrounding areas trip, 5 days is ideal. It gives you enough time to explore both sides of Istanbul, visit Sapanca's nature, and enjoy the Princes' Islands without rushing. For a broader Turkey experience including Cappadocia or Pamukkale, 7–10 days is recommended.

Turkey welcomes over 50 million international tourists annually and is one of the most visited countries in the world. Istanbul, Sapanca, and the Princes' Islands are well-traveled tourist destinations with established infrastructure, reliable transport, and tourist-friendly services. As with any destination, standard travel awareness is always recommended.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Citizens of many countries can apply for an e-Visa online through the official Turkish e-Visa website (evisa.gov.tr). Some nationalities are visa-exempt. We recommend checking the latest requirements for your passport before booking.

Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as several days involve moderate walking and hill climbs. For mosque visits, bring clothing that covers shoulders and knees (women should carry a scarf for head covering). Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) is recommended for summer months. A light jacket is useful for the Bosphorus cruise and Sapanca, where temperatures can be slightly cooler than central Istanbul.

  1. Spring (April–May):
    • Mild weather, blooming tulips, fewer crowds. This is Istanbul's most beautiful season.
  2. Summer (June–August):
    • Warm and sunny, perfect for island tours and Bosphorus cruises. Expect more tourists.
  3. Autumn (Sept–Nov):
    • Comfortable temperatures, golden light, and thinner crowds. Excellent for photography.
  4. Winter (Dec–March):
    • Cool and atmospheric. Fewer tourists, lower prices, and the possibility of snow-dusted mosques.
